President's Message

Hello Fellow Rotarians,

It was nice to be back at the Elk’s Club for our meeting this last Tuesday, and it’s also nice to have the temperature turned down a few notches!  We were provided an informational presentation from Eric Ustation and Alberto Jasso from the San Manuel Bank of Mission Indians concerning upcoming statewide ballot issues: Propositions 26 and 27.  They provided clarity about the supporters of each proposition and answered many questions about the goals and intentions of each, as well.
Next Tuesday we have a special event planned for the last half of our meeting:  “Name That Tune” hosted by our resident entertainment provider Steve Lawless. The theme will be movie theme songs from a 50-year cinema span from the 1930s to the 1980s.  It will be a table-to-table competition, with representatives from one table squaring off against representatives from another table. Prizes for the Winning Table. Fines for the Losing Tables. No Fine Master is needed for this, and I will play the role of the game show host.
Let’s have a good turnout for this fun event and test our knowledge of “music at the movies”.
