Can you believe we’ll have one month in the books for 2023 this Tuesday? Only 330 days till Christmas!
Last Tuesday was a special meeting, with our new Mayor as the keynote speaker. Our own Helen Tran, the first Vietnamese female Mayor in the Nation, gave us a glimpse of her vision (and passion) for San Bernardino’s future. If you haven’t had the chance yet, check out the guiding principles for the “City Vision, Goals & More” at www.sbcity.org/about/.
ATTENTION: With next Tuesday 1/31 being the fifth Tuesday of the month, the Elk’s Lodge is closed. We will meet at Noon (11:45) at the Claim Jumper again, just off Hospitality Lane at 1905 Commercenter Drive East, San Bernardino, CA. Our keynote speaker will be a Craft Talk by our Rotary Club Secretary Lindsey Cobaugh of the East Valley YMCA. Let’s all come out and support Lindsey next Tuesday. We will be back at the Elk’s Lodge on Tuesday 2/7.

Featured Presentation
Lindsey Cobaugh, Vice President of Operations, YMCA of the East Valley
Lindsey Cobaugh was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. She started her career with the YMCA organization in 2002 as a Day Camp Counselor. Lindsey held several positions and assignments within the El Paso Y, including posts in Member Services, Kids Club, and serving as a Referee. Over the years, Lindsey moved her way up through the ranks to become Membership Director, Program Director, and Executive Director of the YMCA El Paso Association.
Lindsey relocated to California in 2018 to assume the role of Executive Director of the Highland Family YMCA. In February 2022, Lindsey was promoted to Vice President of Operations for the YMCA of the East Valley. In her current role, she oversees Childcare Development at Preschool University (PSU), Camp Edwards, and both the Highland Family YMCA and the San Bernardino Family YMCA.
Lindsey feels blessed to be able to serve her community through her work. The Y is more than just a job to Lindsey; it allows her to fulfill her passion to make a difference in the lives of others every day. In turn, those individuals make a difference and create their own positive influence in the communities in which they live and work.
Today, the YMCA is the leading nonprofit committed to strengthening individuals and communities across the country. Through empowering young people, improving individual and community well-being, and inspiring action, the YMCA aims to create meaningful change.
Lindsey is the proud mother of two children, Annaleigh (13) and Ricke (10). She loves being involved in all aspects of their lives along with her partner of 21 years, Julio, who is a Police Dispatcher in the City of Redlands.
