Dr. Treasure Ortiz brings both passion and persistence to her role as San Bernardino’s Ward 7 Councilmember. Elected in 2024, she has quickly become known as a strong advocate for transparency, accountability, and putting residents first.
A professor and longtime community advocate, Dr. Ortiz has dedicated her career to education, civic engagement, and ensuring that local government works for the people it serves. On the City Council, she has prioritized public safety, neighborhood revitalization, and practical solutions to housing and homelessness. She is also focused on repairing aging infrastructure and creating opportunities for businesses to thrive, while holding developers accountable for contributing to the city’s long‑term health.
Beyond policy, Dr. Ortiz is deeply committed to listening. She believes that the best ideas come from the community itself, and she works to amplify the voices of neighbors who want to see San Bernardino flourish.
