President's Message

Greetings Fellow Rotarians,

For those of you who attended our luncheon meeting last Tuesday, we were treated to a “Part 2” from Brian Pellis, as our scheduled keynoter speaker SB Police Chief Darren Goodman was not able to make it, as he was required to remain and address an urgent city matter. He sent his regrets and hopes to join us at a later date.

Thank you, Brian, for so capably filling in on a very short notice.

Next Tuesday, our keynote speaker is our own Larry Asmus who will talk about the Rotary Friendship Exchange and his own recent adventure with the program. Please try to arrive by 11:45 for networking time, with lunch being served shortly thereafter.  Also, I will be serving as a “fine master” next Tuesday.  And….stop the presses….I am providing all of you who are reading this, a clue about the topic for the fines session. August 2nd also is Major League Baseball’s “trade deadline” for the 2022 season. To commemorate that, our fines session will feature questions about what trades have been completed so far, blockbuster deadline trades in recent years, and what deals are rumored to still happen before the 3:00 PM deadline later that afternoon.

President, David Hahn 2022-2023
