It is the beginning of another fabulous Rotary year. We all know what that means: Dr. White will be in the house, spreading good cheer, wisdom, and checking predictions. Where did you land in hedging your bets? Brad will bring his jokes, laughter, and superior knowledge. Make sure you attend! David, did you predict the Dodgers would win the World Series? Brad keeps everyone’s predictions to see just how good we are as a club.
Would love to catch you up on some service by our Rotary Life Students and advisors. Thanksgiving, the Sophomores served alongside Children’s Fund, Amazon Fresh, and Arrowhead United Way to serve over 1,000 families with baskets and necessities. In December, the Freshmen Class spent a weekend serving: a beautification project on Kendall and 48th and Miracle on Court St. alongside Arrowhead United Way. The Seniors assisted the Antlers in providing Christmas for families facing challenges in their living arrangements. Our students truly had the ability to serve in our community while following their advisors in Service Above Self. Hopefully, whatever you have done over the holidays, you have filled your soul.
On January 20th, we will hear from Allen Pryor about the mural we partnered with and a baseball clinic for local youth. January is a packed month. Both meetings are in the daytime, so we look forward to a full house!
Remember our Polio challenge? I received an email that there was a Paul Harris-sized donation online to Polio Plus for our club. Amazing things are happening from the best Rotary Club in San Bernardino!
